Worse still, if you use an ad agency your ad will probably be written by a specialist copywriter who has never had to sell anything in their life and will use very impressive yet wholly inappropriate language.

 

Let me tell you something, you know best, you have the passion and you have the knowledge, so you write it.  Why? Because advertising and selling are two sides of the same coin and advertising agencies have a huge tendency to over complicate things.

And it is used by ad space sales people to get you to part with more of your cash, so that they get more commission.

 

If your advertising is not working, you must do one of two things:

 

Stop it straight away

Change it and keep changing and refining it until it starts to produce an income bigger than the cost of running it

 

When you start to really focus your ads on one thing and then make a series of small changes you will be amazed by the results.
